Overview

In the sprawling and celebrated family of the Omega Seamaster, certain references are defined not just by their dials or movements, but by the sheer, unadulterated artistry of their cases. This stunning reference 14350, with its incredible and dramatic “bull horn” lugs, is one of those legendary designs, a wearable sculpture from the golden age of Omega.

By the late 1950s, the Seamaster had beautifully evolved from its rugged, utilitarian roots into a canvas for Omega’s burgeoning design prowess. It was a time of creative confidence, where case makers became sculptors, transforming the watch from a simple time-telling device into an object of expressive style. The “bull horn” or “lyre” lug is perhaps the most famous and theatrical of these designs, swooping outwards from the case with a dramatic and elegant flair that is simply breathtaking. This example further enhances the look with a gold-capped finish on the bezel and crown, creating a handsome two-tone effect against the stainless steel mid-case, the look of solid gold with the durability of steel.

This particular Seamaster is an absolute knockout. Those incredible, sculptural lugs are the star of the show, defining the watch’s entire personality. But the beauty doesn’t stop there. The original silver dial has aged to a lovely, warm, and even patina, giving it a rich, creamy character. A crisp cross-hair marking bisects the dial, adding a touch of technical precision that contrasts beautifully with the case’s flamboyant design. The applied, faceted gilt indices and classic dauphine handset are in excellent condition and perfectly complement the gold tones of the case.

The watch is in beautiful, honest vintage condition. Most importantly, for a piece like this, the case is sharp and the lugs have retained their dramatic, well-defined shape, a testament to a life of careful wear. The dial’s patina is consistent and lovely, adding warmth without detracting from legibility. This is a survivor whose artistic integrity is fully intact.
